Genealogy Main

This page was created on 2024-09-15.  On this page, I will list changes made to the other genealogy pages here.  The list will be in reverse chronological order.

2026-04-09:  I have come across more information as to the Parker and Hodges lines.  The Hodges family origins are still proving difficult to analyze, particularly with two, and possibly three different persons named Edmond/Edmund Hodges.  With the Parkers, the yet unverified information establishes them in New England before the John Parker (born 1725) came over from Northern Ireland, with his parents being over here.  So did this some family members return to Ireland for some reason, only to come back?  I can only speculate as to what was going on with that.

2025-12-12:  More information was added to the Bonsall page.

2025-12-03:  The Bonsall Family History page was created, and is right now in placeholder status.

2025-10-24:  Information from the 1850 Lawrence County IN census was added to the Parker page.  It confirms some details I already knew, and a few items I didn't know.

2025-08-15:  Most of my work has been on collecting more information on the Parkers, of which not very much has been published here.  A chapter was created about the Parkers who stayed in Surry County NC, of which information is conflicting.  I am thinking of starting new pages for the Bonsall and Pilkington families.

2025-03-06:  I have recently had some time to resume my research, particularly focusing on the Texas Parkers.  Another branch of the family relocated to Utah, after a family head became a Mormon convert.  I intend to do some more research on these branches, but will likely concentrate on what I am now calling the Kansas Parkers, from whom I am descended.

2024-09-23:  I have added information on the Hodges pages.  What I learned is that the migration to Indiana in 1837 was bigger than I previously thought, and I learned more about their connection with the Laffoon family.

2024-09-17:  Information on Surry County NC land grants were posted on the Parker page, and added to the timeline listed there.  I have also started a downward trace for the descendants of John Parker I, which will be lengthy if I live long enough to complete it.  It is so far not published here, and I'm not sure it will be.
